Two passengers were apprehended at Karachi Airport while attempting to depart the country with counterfeit Canadian passports. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) reported that an immigration officer, Muhammad Adnan, who helped the passengers, was also arrested.

The detainees, identified as Muhammad Bashir and Rizwan Khan, were scheduled to board an international flight to Canada.

Upon inspection by the Secondary Line Office, their passports were found to lack essential security features, confirming they were fraudulent.

Investigations revealed that the suspects had purchased these fake passports for Rs10 million each from an agent named Usman in Wazirabad.

The individuals have since been transferred to the anti-human trafficking circle in Karachi for further legal action.
