Pakistani actress and model Hania Amir has successfully identified the Indian Instagram account responsible for disseminating explicit deepfake videos of her.

Hania encouraged her fans to report the account after discovering she had been blocked by the user.

In response, her fans acted quickly, prompting the user to change the account name to ‘Core Sindhu’ to evade reporting.

Amir pinpointed the Instagram account ‘Anwrit Sindhu’ as the source of the deepfake videos being shared.

Despite these name changes, the account was identified, and the user ultimately removed all deepfake videos of Hania.

Created in September 2022, the account had undergone 18 name changes and was traced back to Chandigarh, India.

The account, named ‘Anwrit Sindhu,’ featured over 22,400 followers and more than 100 posts, predominantly showcasing these manipulated videos.
