A fresh wave of monsoon rains is expected to sweep across Pakistan, driven by a new system of winds originating from the Bay of Bengal.

From Tuesday to Wednesday, heavy rainfall is anticipated in Karachi and throughout Sindh. In addition, regions including Islamabad, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, southern Balochistan, and the upper and southeastern areas of Sindh may experience strong winds and thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Department has released an advisory highlighting the risk of landslides in hilly areas, along with potential flooding and urban flooding in central plains and upper districts.

In Balochistan, most districts are expected to remain warm and dry; however, heavy winds and thunderstorms are forecasted for Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, Loralai, Sibi, Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, and Ziarat. Scattered storms are also likely in Qalat, Khuzdar, and Awaran.
