Authorities have arrested an Arizona man for making threats to kill former president Donald Trump.

The suspect, 54-year-old Michael Brogan, was taken into custody on Monday and charged with making interstate threats. According to court documents, Brogan left several voicemail messages at the Washington D.C. office of Trump’s political action committee, threatening to “put a bullet” in the former president’s head.

“I swear to God, I’m gonna put a bullet in Trump’s head,” Brogan allegedly said in one of the voicemails. “I don’t care if I get shot myself, I am taking him out.”

Investigators traced the calls back to Brogan’s home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

He was arrested without incident and is currently being held pending a detention hearing. If convicted, Brogan could face up to five years in federal prison.
