Prominent Indian television actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Jasmin Bhasin has suffered significant eye damage due to the use of contact lenses.

Bhasin told the Indian media that she had worn the contact lenses before leaving for an event in New Delhi. Shortly after, she began experiencing severe pain in her eyes.

Despite the discomfort, Bhasin decided to attend the event, but the pain quickly intensified to the point where she could no longer see.

“I attended the event despite the pain, but it became so severe that I couldn’t see,” the actress said.

Bhasin subsequently consulted an eye surgeon, who informed her that her corneas had been severely damaged by the contact lenses. “The doctor told me that my corneas were badly damaged due to the contact lenses,” she added.

Doctors have bandaged her eyes and it would take four to five days for her vision to recover. “It’s not easy because I can’t see, and the pain makes it difficult to sleep,” she said.

Bhasin is known for her lead roles in “Dil Se Dil Tak” and “Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji” as well as her appearances in reality shows such as “Khatron Ke Khiladi 9” and “Bigg Boss 14”.
