Gold rates continue to soar in local, international markets
The gold prices has increased in the international and local markets, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
In the local Pakistani market, the price of gold per tola stood at Rs254,400 after a massive single-day gain of Rs5,000.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold was sold at Rs217,764 after registering an increase of Rs4,287.
The international rate of gold increased on Thursday and was at $2,470 per ounce, including a premium of $20. This represented a gain of $60 in the gold rate during the day.
Meanwhile, the silver rates in Pakistan remained unchanged at Rs2,900 per tola.
On Friday, in the local Pakistani market, the gold price per tola stood at Rs249,000, reflecting a single-day gain of Rs2,200.
The gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola in April.
