Two injured in a blast in Quetta

Two people were injured in an explosion in the Akhtar Abad area near the Western Bypass in Quetta. One of the injured individuals is reported to be in critical condition.

According to the police, on Saturday, an explosive device planted by unknown terrorists on the roadside in the Akhtar Abad area near the Western Bypass in Quetta exploded with a loud blast, severely injuring two individuals.

The injured were immediately transported to the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, where doctors have reported that the condition of one of the victims is critical.

After the explosion, police and other law enforcement agencies reached the site.

CTD (Counter-Terrorism Department) and bomb disposal squad personnel have cordoned off the area, collected evidence from the site, and are currently determining the nature of the device, whether it was a remote-controlled or a time-controlled explosive.
