A shootout between two groups near Madiji has left 7 people dead and several injured.

Seven people were killed and many injured in an exchange of fire between two armed groups near Madiji area of Shikarpur.

As soon as the incident was reported, the police and rescue teams reached the spot, but the authorities failed to silence the guns.

Due to firing, the area turned into a battlefield and the bodies were still lying in the area, Amjad Husain Arain of Aaj News reported.

Sources say that the condition of the injured is critical and more deaths were feared.
