Karachi experienced light rain in the morning on July 12 (today), which has made the weather pleasant.

In Karachi, early morning showers and sea breezes have provided relief from the heat in areas like North Karachi, Surjani Town, Gulistan-e-Johar, and Liaquatabad.

Intermittent rain was also reported in the federal capital Islamabad and its surrounding areas, as well as in Hasan Abdal and Taxila.

Similar pleasant weather conditions were experienced in Lahore and other cities across Punjab due to the overnight rainfall. Areas like Gulberg, Kalma Chowk, Liberty Market, Model Town, and Faisal Town in Lahore saw heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, providing respite from the summer heat.

Besides Lahore, towns like Kasur, Toba Tek Singh, Chunian, and Mianwali in Punjab also received significant rainfall, leading to waterlogging in low-lying areas and causing difficulties for residents.

The rainfall also caused multiple power outages in different areas as the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) tripped some feeders.
