Punjab food dept jumps to action for supply of cheaper flour
The Food Department has suspended the licenses of three flour mills for selling expensive flour, in order to ensure the provision of cheaper flour.
Additionally, show-cause notices have been issued to 92 flour points due to poor management.
According to the Food Department, 135 points were checked in Lahore Division, 15 in Faisalabad, 71 in Sargodha, 106 in Multan, 35 in Sahiwal, and 3 in DG Khan.
Food Minister Bilal Yasin stated that actions are being taken against fake records and the supply of expensive flour.
