Karachi is experiencing scorching weather, which will continue to rise in hot weather with a prediction of a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius today, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The current temperature is 36 degrees Celsius, but the heat index is being felt as high as 44 degrees.

According to the Met Office, the humidity level in the air is 51%. The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 30.5 degrees.

Meteorologists warn that the extreme heat conditions are expected to persist throughout the day, urging residents to take necessary precautions to beat the scorching temperatures.

PMD has reported that winds are blowing at a speed of 13 kilometers per hour from the northwest in the city.

The sea breezes in Karachi are expected to resume by tomorrow evening.

There is also a likelihood of a gradual decrease in temperatures in Karachi starting tomorrow.

The severe heat in Karachi has led to an increase in the number of heart patients.

At the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases, 100 cases of heat stroke were reported in the past week, while two people succumbed to heat stroke symptoms.

Experts have advised heart patients to avoid going out in this severe heat, as the heat is affecting all individuals. All people are advised to take precautions during this season.

Due to the persistent intensity of the heat across the city, on the instructions of the Sindh Health Department, heat stroke wards have been established in government hospitals.

Wards with 30 beds have been set up at Jinnah Hospital, 20 beds at Civil Hospital, 10 beds in New Karachi, and 10 beds at the Services Hospital to cater to heat stroke patients.
