Hot temperatures to persist across Pakistan today
The intense heatwave gripping most of Pakistan is expected to continue today, with Karachi anticipating the full return of the sea breeze.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the highest temperature recorded yesterday was in Sibi, where the mercury reached a scorching 48 degrees Celsius.
Other cities experiencing extreme heat include Jacobabad, Lasbela, Okara, and Pasni, all recording temperatures of 47 degrees Celsius. Hyderabad and Faisalabad saw 45 degrees Celsius, while Gwadar and Bannu recorded 44 degrees Celsius, and Mithi reached 43 degrees Celsius.
In Karachi, the temperature reached 47 degrees Celsius, while Lahore experienced 41 degrees Celsius, feeling like 44 degrees Celsius due to humidity.

Weather forecasters predict that the sea breeze will fully return to Karachi today, bringing some relief from the intense heat.
The PMD also expects scattered thunderstorms in parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
