Police constable shot dead in Quetta

Unidentified armed men opened fire killing a police head constable in Nawan Kali, Quetta.

According to the police, the armed men riding motorcycles targeted the police constable when he was passing through the bypass area.

The men fired multiple shots at the head constable, who died on the spot.

After the incident, the police reached the site and shifted the body to the civil hospital.

The deceased policeman has been identified as Zia-ur-Rehman.

The body was later handed over to the family after legal formalities. He was posted at the Jinnah Town police station.

This was the third killing of a police officer by unknown armed men this month, with no one claiming responsibility for the attacks.
