Music producer Metro Boomin, a fellow St. Louis native, showed his support for Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics at Game 2 of the NBA Finals. He celebrated the Celtics’ 105-98 victory, which gave them a 2-0 series lead.

Boomin, who collaborated with ESPN to hype up the Finals, shared his excitement on Twitter: “2 down 2 to go @celtics.” He also thanked ESPN for the opportunity.

Tatum, despite a rough shooting night, contributed with 12 assists, 9 rebounds, and solid defense. The win puts the Celtics on the brink of their first championship since 2008.

Boomin, a longtime Tatum supporter, previously stated that Tatum would become the face of the NBA. His presence at TD Garden to cheer for his fellow St. Louisian came as no surprise.

With the series shifting to Dallas, Boomin will be hoping Tatum and the Celtics avoid a repeat of the 2022 Finals, where they lost to the Golden State Warriors after taking a 2-1 lead.

The music producer, known for his song “Runnin Outta Time” featuring Future, will likely be in Dallas to continue hyping up the Finals and cheering for his friend.
