A young man tragically lost his life in Abbottabad after diving from a high diving board into a shallow swimming pool, highlighting the negligence of local authorities.

The incident occurred at the Hurnu tourist spot in Abbottabad, where Saif-ur-Rehman, a young man, suffered a spinal injury after diving into the shallow pool.

He went into a coma and later succumbed to his injuries.

The accident is being attributed to the lack of checks and balances by the district administration and relevant departments. A high diving board was constructed in the shallow pool, despite the obvious safety risks.

Despite the tragedy, no action has been taken against the swimming pool management.
