Saudi Arabian government has started enforcing penalties for individuals violating the regulations and instructions related to the Hajj pilgrimage without having the required Hajj permit.

This enforcement is taking place in the city of Makkah, the central area, the holy sites, the Haramain train station, security checkpoints, screening centers, and temporary security checkpoints.

This enforcement period will be in effect from June 2, 2024, until June 20, 2024, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Saudi Public Security Agency has confirmed that a fine of 10,000 Saudi Riyals (SR) will be imposed on anyone found violating the Hajj regulations without having the required Hajj permit. This fine applies to citizens, residents, and visitors within the designated geographic area without a Hajj permit.

Furthermore, Public Security has emphasized that repeat offenders will face a doubled fine.

The penalty for anyone caught transporting Hajj violators without a permit includes imprisonment for up to 6 months and a fine of up to SR50,000.
