Rumors swirled about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle planning to welcomea third child, the royal family appeared in high spirits during a recent outing.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla visited the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) on Wednesday, giving the public a glimpse of their celebratory mood. The royal couple, who took on the roles of Patron and President of RADA respectively, met with staff, students and alumni during the engagement.
The official royal family social media accounts shared a delightful video of the visit, capturing the King and Queen in good spirits as they interacted with the drama school community. “The King, as the Academy’s new Patron, and Queen have toured the school meeting staff, students and alumni including President of RAD,” the caption read.
The appearance came amid reports that Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are planning to welcome their third child. The royal family’s upbeat display seemed to send a message of celebration and goodwill, despite the ongoing tensions between the Sussexes and the rest of the monarchy.
Charles and Camilla were joined by acclaimed actors David Harewood and Cynthia Erivo during the RADA visit, which marked the couple’s first major public event since Prime Minister Rishi Sunak called a summer general election. The monarchy has generally refrained from engagements that could be seen as political distractions during the campaign period.
