Two terrorists, including ringleader, killed in Peshawar’s Hassan Khel: ISPR
Two terrorists, including a “ringleader”, have been killed in an exchange of fire with the security forces in Peshawar’s Hassan Khel area on the reported presence of terrorists, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
The operation was conducted on the night of May 30/31, the Inter-Services Public Relations said.
They were identified as terrorists a ringleader Ayaz, alias Muhammad, and Ahmedey, alias Koochi, while two others were injured.
According to the ISPR, the terrorists remained involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of civilians. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the site, it added.
“Locals of the area appreciated the operation. Sanitisation of the area is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” it said.
Earlier this month, at least 23 terrorists were killed in three separate military operations in Bagh, Hassan Khel, and Tank.
Five Pakistani army soldiers were martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Bagh operation.
