SUPARCO notifies launch of PAKSAT on May 30
The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) has announced to launch of the satellite PAKSAT MM1 on May 30.
SUPARCO reported that PAKSAT MM1 will fulfill the increasing demands of Pakistan related to communication and connectivity.
“This satellite project is the hallmark of technological cooperation between China and Pakistan,” SUPARCO notified.
The PAKSAT MM1 satellite utilizes advanced communication technologies, and is expected to play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
According to SUPARCO, the PAKSAT MM1 satellite will serve as an important stepping stone in the transformation of Pakistan into a more digitally connected nation.
The occasion will be shown live from the Islamabad and Karachi establishments of SUPARCO.
“While the upfront costs of satellite development may seem daunting, the long-term benefits far outweigh the investment,” it said.
Pakistan’s maiden lunar satellite iCube-Qamar transmitted the first images from orbit on Friday after completing three rounds of the moon.
Pakistan has unveiled plans to launch another satellite ‘MM1’ into space on May 30 after the success of the country’s first-ever moon satellite ICUBEQ on May 11.
