Former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was arrested from Islamabad on Sunday.

The arrest was made under an FIR for forcing entry and firing in Islamabad’s Centaurus Mall. The FIR was filed on May 1.

Ilyas was arrested by Islamabad Police and has been shifted to the Margalla Police Station.

Meanwhile, Ilyas’s spokesperson said that the police had scaled the walls of the former PM’s house to arrest him.

The spokesperson added that the sanctity of Ilyas’s home had been violated in the arrest.
