Where will an Ind-Pak Champions Trophy final be held?
Cricket fans eagerly await the 2025 Champions Trophy, with the high-stakes clash between Pakistan and India generating the most anticipation.
Addressing questions regarding a potential final between the two rivals and the venue for such a match, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has issued a statement.
Following a visit to the National Stadium on Saturday to inspect ongoing renovations, Naqvi announced that matches between Pakistan and India over the next three years will be held at neutral venues. This includes a potential final, should both teams qualify for the Champions Trophy.
Regarding the selection of the neutral venue for the Champions Trophy itself, Naqvi stated that a decision is expected by Sunday, with ongoing discussions nearing completion.
He added that he has contingency plans in place should India decline to participate and that the precise starting location of the tournament is yet to be confirmed.
He suggested that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) would be the appropriate sources for information regarding the tri-series.
