Sindh CM’s adviser steps down after allegations of illegal weapons flow

Allah Dino Khan Bhayo urges Sindh govt to conduct impartial investigation

Allah Dino Khan Bhayo, the adviser to the Sindh chief minister on Forest and Wildlife Department, has announced his decision to step down from the position as he and his son face inquiry against the flow of illegal weapons.

In a statement on Saturday, Bhayo said that accusations of illegal flow of weapons against him have damaged his reputation and unnecessary politics was done on such a matter.

Banned arms were seized within the limits of Sindh’s city Jacobabad.

The Sindh CM’s adviser clarified that he has no link to such an incident and rejected such allegations. He demanded the provincial government to conduct an impartial investigation into the matter and “immediately” accept his resignation.

Meanwhile, SSP Saleem Shah stated that reports of Allah Dino Khan Bhayo son’s arrest and release were not true. He added that the car seized in the operation was registered in the name of Haji Abdul Hameed.

The weapons were being brought from Balochistan’s Dera Murad Jamali to Shikarpur, the SSP said and added that a committee comprising two DSPs has been formed. Moreover, the police have secured the remand of seven suspects.
