Rain causes destruction in KP, leaving 21 dead

Rains damages 330 houses in four days; PDMA report

Heavy rainfall has caused severe damages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, taking 21 lives and leaving 32 injured.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has reported on the damages due to ongoing rain in KP over the past four days.

The report pointed out that landslides, roof collapses, and flash floods have resulted in the tragic loss of 21 lives among are the deceased are 9 children and 3 women.

It highlighted the damage to 330 houses from which 53 are completely destroyed.

The affected areas include Mansehra, Buner, Bannu, Waziristan, Shangla District, Battagram, Mardan, Hangu, Kohat, Khyber, Dir, Mohmand District, Bajaur District, Chitral, Swat, Karak, Tank, Peshawar, and Charsadda.

The distribution of relief supplies to the affected people is underway.

The affected individuals are being provided with tents, blankets, kitchen sets, and other necessary relief items.
