PTI-led six party opposition alliance has announced that it will launch a nationwide movement against the government from Balochistan. The movement has been named as ‘Tehreek-e-Tahfuz Aain’ or the Movement to Protect the Constitution.

Leaders from the opposition political parties met in Quetta on Friday. BNP Chief Akhtar Mengal chaired the meeting.

PTI’s Omar Ayub led a press conference after the meeting and told reporters that Mahmood Khan Achakzai will lead the movement as its president.

He said protest rallies will be held under the movement.

Achakzai said that the constitution was a civic agreement and to protect it the opposition was going to launch its effort from the very next day (Saturday).

He urged people to participate in the position rally being held in Pashin on Saturday.

Mengal said the movement should have been launched 20 years ago.
