Islamabad United celebrated their victory in Pakistan Super League season 9 by flying the Palestinian flag in their victory lap.

Islamabad United team players expressed their solidarity with Palestine after their win, and made a complete round of the stadium which was packed for the final.

The team dedicated their victory to Palestine by chanting slogans with the audience in the stadium.

This action by the team players was posted on social media platforms and was appreciated by many people around the country as bringing the flag was banned in PSL 9. Multiple people had reported that their flags were confiscated.

Islamabad United won the PSL trophy for the third time after chasing down 160 runs on the last ball of the regulation 20 overs.

They won the match over Multan Sultans, led by Muhammad Rizwan.
