Gas explosions in Rawalpindi leave 2 children dead

Gas explosions in three different areas of Rawalpindi left at least two children dead while at least eight people received severe burns.

According to Rescue 1122, all three explosions took place in houses after gas pressure was built up.

The first incident in Bhabra Bazar left two children dead while their mother was severely injured. Rescue said that the explosio nhappened as soon as an electricity switch was turned on.

The second explosion took place in Tench No 2, where at least two people were injured. The injured have been identified as Abdullah and Hassan.

In a separate incident, an explosion took place in a house within the jurisdiction of Police Station Waris Khan, where at least five people were injured.

The explosion was so severe that it shattered the house’s windows and doors.
