RDA officer assaults commoner for ‘overtaking’ his car
The government officer in Rawalpindi who was recorded beating up a man in broad daylight after being offended at being overtaken, has been revealed to be an employee of the Rawalpindi Development Authority.
The officer has been identified as Malik Ghazanfar Khan, a finance director in the RDA. He is also said to be related to to former Principal Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti.
The video of the incident that went viral on social media showed a man in a black suit holding another man by the collar and repeatedly trying to hit him.
A white pick up truck with a blue light on top, and a smaller car, belonging to the other man can be seen in the video. The incident happened after the officer was overtaken by the smaller vehicle.
“Can’t you see I’m a government officer,” the man is heard saying as he assaults the other man.
The incident happened right infront of the Rawalpindi Development Authority’s office, whose sign can be seen in the video.
