Senior lawyer Shah Khawar is set to take charge of the acting chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board following his appointment, sources said on Tuesday.

Khawar, who has been serving as the election commissioner of the PCB, was given the job after Zaka Ashraf resigned from his post.

Ashraf on January 19 resigned from his post after Pakistan suffered a heavy blow against New Zealand in the recently concluded T20 series.

According to sources, the senior lawyer will officially take charge tomorrow (Wednesday).
