Rifts emerge between PMLN and IPP over seat adjustment
Disagreements have emerged between the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party over the matter of seat adjustment, according to sources.
Sources within the PMLN believe that the party has too many of its own candidates to accomodate which will be difficult if an agreement is reached with IPP.
The sources added that the party has already told IPP that no seat adjustment can take place in Lahore, a traditional stronghold of the PMLN.
IPP’s Abdul Aleem Khan and PMLN’s Maryam Nawaz are both contesting the election from NA-119.
While Abdul Aleem Khan has asked for a seat adjustment in the constituency, PMLN is unwilling to conceded. It could offer Khan a provicial assembly seat.
Sources in PMLN also said that seat adjustments can be made with Jahangir Khan Tareen in Lodhran.
