PMLN to campaign on 9-point agenda: sources
With election preparations in full swing, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has finalised a nine-point agenda for its capiang, souces said on Sunday.
According to the sources, the program will include the follwoing points
- Government expenses will be decreased
- Tax reforms, increase in tax collection and brodening of tax net
- Immediate increase in exports
- Development of information and technology
- Decrease in gas and electricity prices
- Reforms in loss making state-owned enterprises
- Employment opportunities for youth and women
- Agriculture reforms including modern methods
- Judicial reforms
The PMLN has been on the move since before the election schedule was announced. The party has been reinforced by court acquittals granted to Nawaz Sharif as well as the joining of multiple electables.
The party has also been in talks with Muttahid Qaumi Movement, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party and Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam to form electoral alliances.
