Former President Asif Ali Zardari has responded to rumors circulating about the engagement of his son, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

“BB (Benazir Bhutto) issued a press release when we got engaged. Should I disclose my family matters live on TV?” he replied when asked by Asma Shiraiz about the rumors during his interview on Faisla Aap Ka.

On plans for Bilawal and Aseefa Bhutto, Zardari said that he wished Asifa would contest elections while Bilawal could be the youth’s leader for the next 15 years.

According to Zardari, both of his children had a language barrier due to them spending most of their lives in London.

“Bilawal has overcome that barrier, however, Aseefa is yet to do it,” he said.
