Former SSP Malir reveals details of PPP’s corruption
Former Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar Ahmed revealed shocking details regarding former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Sindh government.
During an interview on Samaa TV program DoTok, he revealed all the facts and blamed Asif Ali Zardari for corruption worth Rs700 billion.
He said, “Asif Ali Zardari is the king of the system mafia. In the last five years, 700 billion rupees have been laundered outside Pakistan.”
He further said that after 2013, people’s plots were seized by the Sindh police. The Sindh government had a weak policy to control crime and instead of controlling crime, they were engaged in other activities, he added.
Rao Anwar, Karachi’s most controversial cop, officially retired from service with at the end of 2019. Two things that have been a consistent feature of Anwar’s tumultuous career are the encounters and accusations of corrupt practices that have dogged him over the years.
Despite having faced several disciplinary actions and suspensions, the most infamous being in the aftermath of Waziristan native Naqeebullah Mehsud’s murder. He was acquitted later by an anti-terrorism court.
