Fawad Chaudhry remanded for one more day
Former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry was sent on a one-day remand in a corruption case on Sunday.
Chaudhry produced in Rawalpindi’s session court on Sunday after his remand expired. He was brought to the court in handcuffs inside an armoured vehicle.
Duty Judge Ghulam Mustafa presided over proceedings where the prosecution requested a seven-day physical remand.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment told the court that they needed time to recover Rs3.5 million from Chaudhry.
However, the court only approved a one-day remand and ordered Chaudhry to be brought to court again on Monday.
Chaudhry was sent on a one-day transitional remand on Saturday.
