Maintenance work to disrupt water supply in Karachi

The Dhabeji pumping station will be closed on December 3

The power supply to several feeders of the Dhabeji pumping station will be partially cut off on December 3 (Sunday) due to K-Electric’s yearly maintenance work for 2023–2024.

According to the news published on Daily Jang, The spokesman said, the Dhabeji pumping station will be closed on December 3 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m and that maintenance would result in a 75 MGD water deficit for the city.

The Water Corporation has requested the citizens to store water and use it carefully to avoid any problems.

It should be noted that on September 30, due to the breakdown, Karachi city had to face a shortage of 104 MGD of water.
