The Federal Investigation Agency has confirmed that the photos that went viral and ultimatley led to the death of an 18-year-old woman in Kohistan were doctored.

Reports said that the FIA’s cyber crime wing has identified the culprits involved in manipulating and circulating the image of the woman and the information has been handed over to the police.

According to the FIA, the men involved in the incident created a fake profile on Facebook under the name of Deedar Amanullah. The man whose identity was stolen for the account has also filed a complaint with the FIA.

The culprits then manipulated an image of the woman in Photoshop and posted them online.

Sources also said that police has been conducting raids to arrest the other men involved but has not met any success so far.

Police said that it is facing problems in tracking down the cuplrits due to lack of communication networks in the area.

The murdered woman’s father is already in police custody.
