PTI to go ahead with convention in Karak despite permission being denied
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced that it will press ahead with its plan to hold a worker convention in Karak on Sunday despite permission being denied by the authorities.
PTI Senior Vice President Sher Afzal Marwat also issued a video message inviting workers to the convention on Sunday.
In the video, Marwat says that the authorities will try to stop the convention but the workers must attend anyway.
The district administration has imposed Section 144 in Karak prohibiting public gatherings.
Authorities are conducting raids on the houses of major leaders and workers in the district. Extra police have also been summoned from other districts to deal with the convention.
The district’s entry points have been sealed by the administration and orders have been issued to arrest PTI workers showing up for the convention under the Maintainance of Public Order.
