ANP refutes reports of alliance with PTI-P
Awami National Party has said that it will not form an alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians.
ANP President Ameer Haider Khan Hoti told Aaj News that the party will not ally itself with any party that is brought for a ‘specific’ agenda.
He added that his party had had no contact with the PTI-P so far and talk of an alliance between ANP, PTI-P and JUI(F) would be premature at this stage.
However, he said that forming alliances was a prerogative of the provincial leadership of the party and other parties will be contacted soon.
Hoti said that Maulana Fazal ur Rehman’s talk made it seem like he was afraid of facing ANP.
He also said that some parties are so afraid that they are not even reaching out to the public while other parties seem to be a little too satisfied at how the atmosphere is shaping up.
