Zulfi Bukhari acknowledges Buzdar’s appointment as ‘mistake’
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Zulfi Bukhari said on Friday that appointing Usman Buzdar as Punjab’s chief minister was a mistake but Imran Khan was also right in not removing him.
Talking to the media in London, Bukhari said that Buzadar was not a good choice for the post of CM in any way and even Khan realises this on reflection.
However, he said that after Buzdar had been in office for two years and things were going through a troublesome time it was not appropriate to remove him as it could have led to a ‘revolving door’ situation.
He added that the power politics in Punjab was very strong and apart from Aleem Khan, there were other group vying for power.
Bukhari, a close aide of Imran Khan, also said that Farah Gogi had no link to PTI. He said that NAB and FBR should take action against her if it had proof and it would not make any difference to the party.
He added that no one would believe that Gogi was Khan’s front person. He said that Khan would not know about the details of the business of every person around him.
Bukhari said that if everyone was being tried for corruption, exceptions should not be made if charges were levelled against General (r) Faiz Hameed.
