Juhi Chawla takes responsibility for Karishma Kapoor’s success
Juhi Chawla, a famous actress of the 90s in the Indian film industry, once said that she is responsible for Karishma Kapoor’s film success (stardom).
According to Indian media reports, Juhi Chawla is celebrating her 56th birthday today. During an interview, she had mentioned the rivalries in the film industry.
During the conversation, she said that I was responsible for the film success of Karishma Kapoor, I refused to do ‘Raja Hindustani’ opposite Aamir Khan, so it was given to Karishma Kapoor.
Juhi Chawla added that even today I see my contemporaries (Madhuri Dixit, Karishma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon and Manisha Koirala) around.
During the interview, the actress also talked about her stupid decisions while working in the film industry and said that Karishma Kapoor became a successful actress when she refused to do Raja Hindustani.
He said that I was offered to act in the film Judaai, but I refused, Sridevi played the role and the film turned out to be a blockbuster.
When Juhi Chawla was asked why she did Gulab Gang with Madhuri in 2014, why didn’t she do any film with the actress before?
To this, she replied that actually I was offered only once to work with Madhuri in the film Dil Tu Pagal Hai, which I turned down, which was later done by Karishma Kapoor.
Juhi Chawla laughed and added that actually I was in a bad mood at that time, and made many stupid decisions, the film I refused turned out to be a blockbuster.
The actress also shared her views on Madhuri Dixit, Karishma Kapoor, Manisha Koirala and Raveena Tandon.
“At that time we were rivals, everyone was doing films as solo heroines, we were compared, and there were very few films that had two heroines,” she said.
