Farah Gogi’s assets ‘grew by over Rs4,000 million’ in three years
Documents disclosed by government sources have revealed that Farhat Shahzadi’s assets increased by Rs4,520 million in the span of three years from 2017 to 2020.
According to the documents, Shahzadi, more commonly known as Farah Gogi, has declared assets worth Rs950 million.
However, the report has revealed she also owns massive undeclared assets worth Rs3,825 million. This number does not include assets owned by her husband, Ahsan Jameel Gujjar, and other relatives.
Gogi was known to be a close aide of former first lady Bushra Begum and is accused of acting as a frontperson in many corruption cases.
She was also nominated in the £190 million case where she was accused of taking 240 kanals of land from Malik Riaz as part of the property tycoon’s settlement.
Gogi also declared assets worth Rs489 million in the tax amnesty scheme introduced by the government of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2018.
Documents claimed that Gogi and Gujjar also own 102 bank accounts which have Rs14 billion in them.
Farah Gogi left Pakistan in April 2022, days before Imran Khan was removed in a no-confidence vote.
