The rupee remained flat against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Friday, witnessing an increase of one paisa.

The greenback was trading at Rs278.8 at the closing of the interbank market, as against the closing of Rs278.81 the previous day.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a positive session where the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 366.71 points or 0.73% to reach 50,731.86 at the closing of the market on the last trading session of the week.

The KSE-30 Index gained 172.95 points or 1% to close at 17,459 levels on Friday.
