Chairman PTI’s lawyer Latif Khosa submitted to the court that there is an application against the decision to stop the proceedings and charge, the matter is going on in the High Court and the decision is reserved.

Latif Khosa said that we repeatedly said that there should be no rush, the matter is going on in the High Court, and we have a lot of concerns regarding the Official Secrets Act, what is the security risk? Lawyer Latif Khosa said that my client is a national hero and the world knows and believes that he is innocent in jail.

Justice Amir Farooq inquired that only a miscellaneous application has been filed today, if you say, I should attach it to the main case.

Lawyer Latif Khosa said that of course you should attach it with the request for dismissal of the cipher case, but before the 17th.

The court asked the lawyer what to do on that day i.e. October 17. Which lawyer Latif Khosa said that there is going to be a big scandal on the 17th, Imran Khan’s trial is going on, he has to be indicted.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq said that I would see and order, I will file the case before October 17.

The court merged the plea with the plea in the Cipher case dismissal case, and the Chief Justice remarked that he would issue orders to join the pleas.

Court reserves verdict on Bushra’s arrest

Meanwhile, an accountability court in Islamabad reserved decision on the arrest of Bushra Begum in the £190 million case.

NAB prosecutor Muzzafar Abbasi told the court that there was nothing in the law that said that an accused had to be informed before being arrested.

Latif Khosa, who represents Bushra Bibi, responded there should be no game of hide-and-seek on the arrest and the court should confirm the former first lady’s bail if her arrest was not needed.

The court then reserved judgement in the case which will be announced later.
