Pakistan to begin world cup campaign with match against Netherlands today
Pakistan will begin its quest for the cricket World Cup with a match against the Netherlands on Friday.
The match will take place in Hyderabad and begin at 1:30 pm PST.
Pakistan’s last five outings in one-day internationals include: L,L,WWW.
The team has not had great luck in opening World Cup matches and has lost on the last two occasions.
On the other hand, the Netherlands’ last five matches had the following record:L,W,W,L,W. The team has won only two out of the 15 World Cup matches it has played.
Conditions are expected to be dry and hot, and a high-scoring pitch is expected according to ESPNCricinfo. Although it rained in Hyderabad last week, the chance of rain today is zero.
