Former Prime Minister Imran Khan turned 71 on Thursday. While Khan continues to be incarcerated in Adiala Jail, party supporters sent their best wishes on his birthday.

As one of Pakistan’s most celebrated cricketers, Khan was also wished a happy birthday by the Pakistan Cricket Board in a social media post mentioning his achievements.

Apart from captaining Pakistan to its sole World Cup win in 1992, Imran scored 3,807 runs and took 362 wickets in Tests and scored 3,709 runs in ODIs in addtion to 182 wickets.

Cricketing website ESPNCricinfo called him one of the game’s ‘all-time greats’ in a post.

Khan’s party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf posted a video from the same day last year showing Khan cutting a birthday cake in his home.

The former prime minister is currently in Adiala Jail in the cipher case registered under the Official Secrets Act. He has been in jail since August 5.
