The vision of Sindh’s deputy prosecutor general, Faheem Hussain, has been affected during the eye surgery due to the doctor’s apparent negligence.

“My eyesight is affected,” he said in a video statement and urged the Pakistan Medical Association to ban such “mafias”, who allegedly affected his vision, to save others’ lives.

On Sunday, a first information report was registered on his complaint at the Ferozabad Police Station under sections 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), 336 (Punishment for itlaf-i-salahiyyat-i-udw), and 387 (putting person in fear of death or of grievous hurt, in order to commit extortion) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

He has accused a doctor of affecting his eyes with the connivance of two private hospitals. Hussain wants action against them for affecting his trust, betrayal, and collecting money.

On different occasions, the victim added that money was “forcefully taken” from him from August 3, 2023, to August 12, 2023. He added that he was still having his eyes treated.

After the terrible ordeal, Hussain said that he went to another eye hospital where he was informed that the lens of his left eye had fallen on the pupil and there was a severe infection in the right eye.

“My eyesight is affected and now I am in serious difficulty,” he said.
