ICC World Cup trophy on its last day in Pakistan

The International Cricket Council’s Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 trophy will depart for Dubai on Wednesday (today) to reach its final destination ICC headquarters, after finishing its three-day thrilling tour in Pakistan.

After completing its journey on long thoroughfares, the trophy was reached to Pakistan on September 4.

During a journey, it had been exhibited in Australia, England, New Zealand, the West Indies, America, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Kuwait, Italy, France, and Papua New Guinea.

In Pakistan, it was displayed at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, showcasing iconic moments, and engaging activities, and offering cricket enthusiasts the chance to get up close to this prestigious trophy.

The biggest tournament of the cricket world will begin on October 5 in India with the first match between England and New Zealand, while the national cricket team will land on the field on October 6 against the Netherlands, and the cricket lover will watch the high voltage episode of Pak-Indo match October 14.

Pakistan, currently the number one side in the 50-over format, won the title in 1992 under the leadership of Imran Khan when they defeated England by 22 runs in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
