Dengue infects 70 people in Punjab in the last 24 hours
Punjab health authorities announced that 70 people in the province were infected by dengue fever in the last 24 hours.
A statement from the health secreatry said that dengue cases in 36 districts of Punjab have risen to 1,415 this year.
Out of these cases, 542 were confirmed in Lahore alone. A total of 36 cases in the city were reported in the last 24 hours.
In Rawalpindi, 260 dengue cases have been reported this year, with 17 emerging in the previous day.
The statement added that Multan reported two new cases of the fever in the last 24 hours, taking its total for this year to 164.
In Faislabad, five new cases took the year’s total to 109.
The health secretary said that four new cases were confirmed in Gujranwala, while two each were reported in Gujrat and Sheikhupura.
