Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency has launched a manhunt for a British family that fled the United Kingdom after allegedly murdering their ten-year-old daughter, Sara Sharif.

Sources in Pakistan’s Jhelum said Urfan Sharif, the father of the victim, and other family members arrived in the region after leaving the UK but then vanished from their Pakistani residence.

A global search is under way for Urfan Sharif, his partner Beinash Batool, 29, and his brother Faisal Malik, 28, the BBC reported on Friday.

Sara Sharif was found dead and alone at her father’s home in the village of Horsell, near Woking on August 10, according to the reports in the British press. By the time the family had left the UK. They booked tickets on August 9.

Woking is a town and borough in northwest Surrey, England, around 22 miles (35 km) from central London.

British newspapers said the young girl was living with her 13-year-old real brother, father and ‘father’s partner’ – a reference to Urfan’s Pakitsani wife Batool. Urfan married Olga in 2007 and divorced her in 2017 with the court awarding custody of Sara and her brother to the father.

Urfan reportedly also has children with his Pakistani wife.

Sources in Jhelum told Aaj News that he arrived in Pakistan with his wife and four children. The man is from the Kari Janjeel village of Jhelum.

Shortly after arriving in Jhelum Urfan and other family members vanished from their house as the FIA and the police launched a manhunt.

Urfan’s brother Imran Sharif told MailOnline that Urfan fell out with him after marrying Olga.

“After reaching Pakistan he came to us and instantly disappeared. He did not bring his family to our home. Some people say he is hiding somewhere in Jhelum in a rented house, but others said he may be gone to Mirpur where his in laws are living,” said Imran.

He also suggested that Urfan might have gone to Mirpur in the Azad Kashmir region where his in-laws, Beenish’s parents, live.

Urfan immigrated to the United Kingdom 20 years ago and worked as a taxi driver. In April he moved to a £550,000 house near Woking.
