Appraising the court regarding the investigation, the prosecutor told the court that four accused have been arrested and remanded, while Elahi also was arrested yesterday.
The PTI president has been accused of receiving bribes and kickbacks in return for manipulating the awarding of contracts for road schemes within the Gujrat Highways Division, favouring specific hand-picked contractors.
The court handed over Elahi to NAB and adjourned the hearing until August 21.
Elahi was re-arrested after his release from Adyala Jail on Monday on the charges of Rs1.25 billion corruption in development projects of Gujrat and Mandi Bahauddin.
