Four terrorists killed in exchange of fire in KP’s Bajaur: ISPR
At least four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in an operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.
The operation was carried out in Bajaur’s Charmang valley, the Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement.
The operation was conducted on the night of August 12 and 13 after the presence of terrorists was reported in the area.
A Sepoy identified as Muhammad Shoaib, 24, from Kohat district, was martyred in the gun battle, the ISPR added.

Weapons, ammunition, suicide vest, and explosive devices were recovered from the site of the operation. The ISPR press release said that the terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of citizens, especially suicide blasts.
“Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area. Security forces of Pakistan remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from Pakistan,” it said.
Pakistan has seen an increase in terrorist activities after the banned outfit ended the ceasefire deal agreed upon with the-then government.
Security forces killed two terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Mazaband Range area of Balochistan’s Kech district on August 12.
